Three Generations of Farmers

Brad is a Sales Engineer by day and a visionary by night. He's never been afraid of not knowing how to do something; he just rolls up his sleeves, gets to work, and figures it out. While Jill has thought he's been a little off his rocker sometimes, he has always had a plan in mind. The farm truly has and will always be his happy place.

Jill is our go to person for PR, marketing, sales, customer service, delivery, and everything else in-between. Most days you'll find her with a phone in hand as she tries to capture the daily inter-workings of the farm (Brad and Phil are slowly learning to accept this). The rest of the time she's just out and about embracing nature and God's beautiful creations.

She also enjoys giving names to all the animals on the farm whether anyone else uses them or not. But most of all she enjoys just being with her family whether that’s in the kitchen, garden, or yes even if its shoveling manure!

Bentley is 10 and LOVES all things farming, and is one of the hardest little workers you’ll ever see! He has also taught his school teachers a thing or two about the farm life. Like any little boy he loves damning up the crick, catching frogs and of course playing with his Daddy's tractors from his childhood days as well as riding in the real ones too. One of his daily chores is to help gather the eggs and he is becoming quite the chicken wrangler. His favorite vegetable to pick and eat out of the garden is peppers. He also can operate the skid loader better than his Dad!

Phil is Brad’s Dad and after milking cows for 40 years he called it “quits” on the dairy industry, although he still boards heifers for a neighbor. Switching to raising beef cattle hasn’t been the easiest of adjustments but he has been a wealth of knowledge and a very valuable asset to us as we continue to expand the farm. PawPaw as the grand-kids call him, also likes teasing them about which brand of tractors are best on almost a daily basis! His response is blue, theirs is always green.

Jordy is our 4 year old Great Pyrenees that we got as a puppy in March 2020 to be our Livestock Guardian dog. We got him to help guard the flock of sheep we had at the time, but he has took a liking to the pigs instead. Hence his own hashtag #jordythepigdog. While at night he’s a ferocious beast he truly is a giant teddy bear by day.

Brooklynn is 8 and is our free-spirited wild middle child! Don't let that charming smile, blonde hair and blue eyes fool you! If you ever visit the farm, you’re more than likely going to see her running around barefooted or probably in a skirt or dress of some sort. As much as she loves being a princess, she has no quam of getting down and dirty with the rest of us. Brooklynn's favorite thing we grow on the farm are, our strawberries; but we often have to remind her to only pick the fire engine red ones! She also secretly only helps us move cows in hopes of catching a glimpse of a rainbow every now and then. Shockingly, I also find more rocks and sticks in her pockets then I do the boys.

Bauer is the newest little addition to the farm. He was born in September 2019 and before too long will be helping bale hay, fix fence, herd cattle, and pick eggs like the rest of us!

Welcome to your furever family and farm JaeJae Rose. JaeJae is also a Great Pyrenees pup whom we got from a fellow farm that we’ve been following on Instagram: Covey Rise Farm in Ohio. She predominantly watched over chickens there and our hope is that she will here too!
